Solita completed her Law and Arts degree majoring in Māori studies at the University of Auckland in 2021 and was admitted to the Bar in October of 2022. Solita also gained a diploma in Te Reo Māori at Te Wānanga Takiura o Ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori o Aotearoa. After this she worked for nearly two years at a large litigation firm in Auckland city gaining invaluable experience in criminal law, regulatory law and commercial litigation.
Solita would regularly appear in the Auckland District Court on various matters and draft submissions for the High Court. Solita joined the team at Wackrow Panoho & Associates in 2023. Solita is passionate about using her legal skills to empower te iwi Māori and create a sustainable future for our mokopuna. Solita enjoys raranga (weaving), spending time with her niece and nephew, and cooking for friends and whānau in her spare time.
