Neuton graduated from The University of Auckland with a BA /LLB and was admitted in 2015. 

 

He began his legal career as a Barrister at an Auckland based law chambers specialising in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Maori Legal matters and spent some time working with senior counsel in the District Court.

Neuton acted for individuals, hapū and iwi clients in the Waitangi Tribunal including in the Te Paparahi o te Raki Inquiry, Ngāpuhi Mandate Inquiry, and the Ngātiwai Mandate Inquiry. Neuton joined the firm in 2018 and has been able to advance to a senior role in regard to the Waitangi Tribunal areas of practice where he has been co-ordinating counsel in the Housing Kaupapa Inquiry and has taken on lead roles in other District and Kaupapa Inquiries.  

Neuton has taken up the opportunity to broaden his areas of practice to include advising on employment, relationship property and estate matters as well as advising Māori Land Trusts. Neuton is passionate about his work and enjoys the diversity of matters that working at a boutique practice like Wackrow Panoho & Associates brings.

 In his spare time Neuton enjoys music, hiking, camping, and spending time with his whānau.
